Relays are important components in an electrical circuit and are used in conjuction with the contactors. The relays protect the contactors from high load current by tripping when high current flows through them. There are different technologies used in manufacturing of relays which affect their tripping characteristics.

L&T provides MN and ML series of bimetal overload relays which are used with MNX series and ML series of contactors respectively. While ML series is the older version and is used for rugged  applications, MNX series is the latest version taking care of the cost factor also. These bimetal overload relays have inbuilt single phasing protection and manual and auto reset mode.
